“Back in Black” — Silver Diamine

Silver diamine fluoride remains one of the hottest topics in dentistry in the past five years. According to the   Association of State & Territorial Dental Directors (ASTDD), the colorless liquid comprised of silver particles and fluoride ion has been used extensively outside of the United States for many years. That’s no surprise, given its ability to actually arrest tooth decay. It’s particularly suited to treating caries in those who cannot access or will not cooperate with conventional dental care, include small children, older adults, or people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

In this informative workshop, event attendees will learn about the products and process in detail, along with the do’s and don’t’s of silver diamine that every dental professional should know. Silver diamine fluoride is included in the class fee, and you’ll leave with a thorough understanding of this technology, along with optional hands-on experience.
